Hybrid parents: Daphne caucasica x Daphne cneorum
can reach more than 1,50 m height and also wide / semi-evergreen / sunny or half shadowed sites / hardy / scented /
first hybrid of this parentage was made around 1920 but never validly published, today this plant is named Daphne x burkwoodii ‘Lavenirii’ /
the brothers Albert and Arthur Burkwood used 1931 Daphne caucasica as mother plant (after Trees and Shrubs Hardy in the British Isles, Eighth Edition), ‘Albert Burkwood’ is the type specimen, ‘Somerset’ the plant that Arthur Burkwood cultivated
Daphne x burkwoodii sports are available in trade i.e.: ‘Golden Treasure’, ‘G.K. Argles’, ‘Briggs Moonlight’, ‘Carol Mackie’, ‘Astrid’
Daphne x burkwoodii is present in divers hybrids: Daphne x mantensiana, Daphne x ‘Pink Star’, Daphne x ‘Rosy Wave’,
