Beautiful Plants for the
Charming Garden

Daphne sojakii  Halda (2001) also named Daphne vermionica

native to N-Greece, Mt. Vermio / 0,3 m tall / evergreen / scented / hardy / orange-red fruits / slow growth

in 2000 or 1999? an expedition of the AGS found this daphne species and thought they had discovered a new natural hybrid of Daphne oleoides with possibly Daphne mezereum or Daphne jasminea - the name Daphne vermionica was suggested

J.J. Halda already knew this plant and in his Monograph (2001) this daphne from Mt. Vermio is described as a daphne species with the name Daphne sojakii
