Daphne arisanensis  Hayata (1912)

endemic to Taiwan / can reach 3 m, often only 1 m / grows in forested areas up to 3000 m altitude / evergreen / orange fruits / prefers a humus rich soil and a protection from hot sun / hardiness not tested

During fall 1999 B. & S. Wynn-Jones found Daphne arisanensis (BSWJ 6983) on Yushan Mt. in Taiwan and introduced this Daphne species into the European gardens
